Description:This metal trolley is for a Physiomed 1 Interferential treatment unit. It was used in physiotherapy treatment at the Royal Pump Rooms, Leamington Spa. Two skin electrodes were placed on the skin, at opposite corners of a square. Medium frequency currents were then passed through the electrodes. Treatment occurred when the two currents interfered. Low beat frequencies were used for the treatment of muscle disorders, and higher frequencies were used to relieve pain.
