Description:This doll is from North America. It is has a painted composition face and a body formed from stuffed blanket material. The old museum label sewn onto the doll reads, "Red Indian / Squaw". Although this label is not now politically correct, it can not be removed as it is part of the history of the object. The old museum label informs us of ideas and knowledge at the time that it was written. The doll is one of a large collection of dolls that were donated to Leamington Spa Art Gallery and Museum.
