Description:This is a pair of Haussa riding boots. They are made from leather, with soft leather soles, and a paler patch of leather on top of the foot. The two bands of pale leather at the top of the boot are for decoration. The label is from an early exhibition of the boots. It reads "HAUSSA RIDING BOOTS. W. Africa. Collected by Mr. E. C. Holland and presented by Mr. W. Carrington of Harbury."
