Description:To the left is a fragment of a minature ushabti from Egypt. The ushabti is possibly ceramic, and there are traces of faience glaze. Ushabti were buried with the dead to look after them in the afterlife. It was thought that after the dead were judged the ushabti would animate and assist them with any tasks they were given.
