Description:This detail shows Warwick and the surrounding villages.

In the town can be seen St Mary's church as it was before the Fire of Warwick in 1694, when it was badly damaged. The south front of the castle is clearly shown next to the River Avon.

Gyes Cliffe (Guy's Cliffe) is shown just outside the town and is mentioned in the Descriptive panel on the tapestry. The park of Woodlow (now the Woodloes Housing estate)is indicated by a palisaded fence. The important bridge crossing the Avon and the village of Bearfoote (Barford) is shown to the south.
