Description:This dressing table mirror belonged to the author George Eliot and it is thought to have been carved by her father, Mr. Robert Evans, from an Arbury oak. He was the Land Agent for the Arbury Estate.


George Eliot (born Mary Ann Evans) was a local authoress based in the Coventry and Nuneaton district, from 1819-1880.
