Description:Letter fragments to an unknown person.

[Probably written between 01/10/1880 and 22/12/1880. This by deduction: Marian married Cross 6 May and died 22 Dec 1880 - Cheyne Walk was his home.]

Transcript:

We expect to be at 4 Cheyne Walk Chelsea in the beginning of November. Our movements this next month are rather more uncertain than usual, because Mr Cross wants to take me away for a little change of air, that I may recover the appetite & energy I brought home with me.

George Eliot (born Mary Ann Evans) was a local authoress based in the Coventry and Nuneaton district, from 1819-1880.
