Description:The earliest parish register, Holy Trinity Church, Stratford-upon-Avon, containing the baptism and burial entries for William Shakespeare and his family. It bears the date 1600 on its cover, the year when, under new regulations, the original paper register, in use since the 1530s, was copied into this new parchment volume.
