Date:1583

Description:Entry in the parish register, Holy Trinity Church, Stratford-upon-Avon (later marked with a cross), recording the baptism of Shakespeare's first child, Susanna.

William Shakespeare had married Ann Hathaway at the end of November 1582, so we may assume that Ann was pregnant at the time. Shakespeare was still only nineteen, at that time very young for a man to be married, whilst Ann was six or seven years older, again very unusual.
