Description:These were used in the making of deep sided pies. The pastry was rolled out and one of the pie raisers put in the middle. The pastry was then worked up round the sides to form a cylinder. The pie raiser was taken out, and the filling put in, before a pastry lid was put on the top. Late 19th century Small - 60mm diameter x 120mm high Large - 72mm diameter x 132mm high
