Description:A photographic portrait of Maynard, fashionably dressed in furs. It was taken in around 1900. Maynard is seated on a cushion. He was the son of Francis, Earl of Warwick, and the Countess Frances Evelyn, or 'Daisy.'

Her mother in particular was famous as a member of high society, and as a close friend of the Prince of Wales, who would become King Edward VII. She staged many glamorous occasions in her home at Warwick Castle, at which celebrities were frequently in attendance. But though she lived luxuriously, Daisy was also well known for her left-wing politics.
