Description:A photographic portrait of Frances Evelyn Brooke, Countess of Warwick (also known as 'Daisy') and her son Maynard, who was born in 1898. The pair are seen seated in a window.

As the Countess of Warwick, Daisy became famous for her lavish lifestyle. She staged luxurious weekend parties in her home at Warwick Castle, and was well known for her close friendship with Edward, Prince of Wales (later King Edward VII). However, despite her reputation for decadence, she was also noted as a political figure, becoming famous also as a socialist.
